Embedding Java doesn't work and Oracle can't make up its mind on applets at all. Everything is deprecated and broken.

I gave up on Java a long time ago. You should too. Anyway, if you *really* wanna play this game, you can download the Eclipse project and run it from there. I'm washing my hands of this nonsense.
