Our First Fight

It took sixteen years, but it had to happen. We were almost finished building the house, when I got upset over some silly thing, I think it was the way he laid out the furniture, or something ridiculous like that. We were both stressed out from the hot and tiring work and we needed to get it out, but I still regret our first fight being over something so trivial. He got angry because he had just finished arranging it and he said it looked all right. The fight didn't last long and it wasn't very powerful because we were both tired and we were also surprised to be fighting for the first time. I wasn't sure what to say to him because I loved Alex so much, so I ran out onto the porch to figure out why I exploded at him that way. I was crying for about how silly it was for about six minutes, until I heard a soft click behind me. Alex had his camera and he said that the way the fireflies reflected off of my hair, he didn't think it was possible for me to exceed perfection, but that this night proved it. I was happy and he showed that he had just finished what I asked, even though he was tired. He was so forgiving and we went to bed together...maybe I don't regret it after all.
