Friday, May 5th 2000: Friday Night Freedom Card #2 - Match #1 Alena Carmine vs. Nadia Drozdova Authour: Alexander Michael Quinn (LD) [President] Match: Standard. Rules: Standard Rules. Title: Woman's Title Commentators: James Colburn, Iaian McBride. ______________________________________________________________________ Colburn: I love that song! All right, well this our first Friday Night Freedom, and I hope it follows a great Pay Per View! McBride: Right! Let's look at some highlights from the Pay Per View! (Highlights are played over the Viewscreen) Colburn: Now the first match was definitely one of the better matches will probably have in the HDW, even if it didn't have a lot of wrestling. McBride: Right, mostly just blood and swords, reminded me of a Zorro movie or something. Colburn: Yeah, but still it was great. Here is when our President put a knife in that unknown guy's knee, man that was definitely a turning point in the match! McBride: Especially when the President was sent into the electrical net set up around the perimeter, Wow, that had to hurt! Colburn: And then of course the Pres being sent off the roof! Is he dead, there was no body? McBride: Definitely an exciting match. Now the match between Psycho Psychic and Grim Reaper was pure pain! Colburn: My favorite moment was when Psycho Psychic ripped the blade off of Reaper's scythe, with his bare hands, of all tools! McBride: Very bloody, or how about the brainbuster in mid-air? Ouch! Colburn: Just excellent, and the driving the truck into the fiery wall in the match between DAND and SuperBeast, wow! McBride: And how about all the pain Mad Rapper put himself through, forget Monoxide Child! Colburn: Yes, the only unfortunate event of the evening was the horribly set up match between Virus and Apocalypse, definitely a blemish that will stain HDW's permanent record for a long time to come. McBride: Yeah, but maybe they were just anxious to get to the party afterwards! Colburn: Anyway, we got a match coming up right now between the possible widow Carmine and the newcomer Drozdova, both are very agile athletes, let's see if any wrestling takes place in the ring. McBride: As I understand, Carmine is doing this just for the fun of it, and Drozdova considers this nothing more than training, so there won't be any anger in this match, although the competetive spirits of both will drive this match far. Who knows? Maybe they will end up being good friends in the HDW, I'd love to see these two against other wrestlers in a tag-team! Colburn: It won't happen till the Pres' condition is established. Carmine might even leave the fed for good if LD doesn't show up sooner or later, dead or alive. (Gothic's image flickers onto the viewscreen) Gothic: Well, we will have our first woman's match tonight. We first have Nadia Drozdova! ("Alter Mann" begins to play over the speakers. Nadia Drozdova walks out to a cheering crowd, and blows them a kiss. She then walks out to the center of the ring.) Gothic: Next, we have the lovely Alena Carmine! ("Falling Away From Me" begins to play, and she walks in wearing a dark red robe. The theme song begins playing, just as the whole entrance goes red and starts pouring smoke and flames. She walks through them wearing the jumpsuit, her robe catches fire and burns quickly, and she emerges with only her jumpsuit. Two fountains on either side of the walkway start gushing out blood over her, and she walks through the archway of flowing blood.) (The viewscreen flickers and turns off.) McBride: Nadia is shaking Alena's hand? Isn't that kind of a weird way to start a match? Colburn: I dunno, but there is the bell, and Alena moves in on the offensive with a roundhouse kick to the face! McBride: Blocked beautifully by Nadia with a forward kick and a punch to the face, knocking Alena into the ropes. Colburn: Nadia is coming up now towards the fallen wrestler, she's not wasting any time! McBride: Wow, what a move! Alena has put a grip around Nadia's neck with her legs and has flipped her through the ropes outside of the ring! Colburn: I was definitely not expecting that. McBride: Alena's legs were lovely in action! Colburn: Iaian! She's married! McBride: Aw, shucks. (Alena jumps over the ropes towards Nadia, but Nadia slips through her legs and stands up from behind to attack Carmine's back. She puts Alena into the Peacemaker, wrapping her legs around Alena in a full nelson and pushing against Alena with her hands.) Colburn: That was a quick submission move! McBride: Beautifully executed, you could tell that these two lovely ladies have been practicing and are probably more agile than any other wrestlers in the HDW! (Alena drops to the ground and rolls underneath the ring, knocking Nadia off of her back. Nadia quickly gets up and backflips into the ring.) McBride: Where did Carmine go? She only has another 5 seconds before disqualification! Colburn: I don't know, but Nadia looks worried and is looking over the edge. Wait! There's Alena on the other side of the ring, and she's flipped up onto her feet and has executed a jumpkick into Nadia's back! McBride: That is definitely going to leave a bruise, what a surprise maneuver! (Nadia quickly recovers before Alena can get in another attack and dodges Alena's palmstrike to the face. She then knocks Alena into the ropes and grabs Alena coming back from the rebound to put her in a spinning neckbreaker!) Colburn: Holy sh*t! I've never seen moves done so quickly in a match before! McBride: Alena recovered quickly however, and now she looks mad! Nadia punches her into the corner and then does her own Pride of Germany: a snap German suplex into the corner! Ouch, I don't think Alena will recover quickly from that. Colburn: There's the ref, and Nadia goes for a quick pin, 1...2, no good, Alena broke away and is behind the ropes now. (Nadia runs into the ropes to knock Alena off, but Alena jumps over the ropes and lands on Nadia on the rebound, quickly turning it into a sort of a spinning neckbreaker except with her legs. Nadia hits the ground hard, and Alena is quick to pick her up and do a backbreaker before Nadia can regain her senses.) McBride: Wow, that was a fast recovery and even faster action! If these women fought anyone else in the Fed, they would definitely stand a chance, even without great strength! Colburn: Both wrestlers are looking tired, but seem to still be going strong. Alena has Nadia in a powerbomb position, but no! Nadia has flipped around to Alena's back and has managed a reverse cross! McBride: I'd love to see any other wrestlers try that move in a reversal! (Alena quickly gets up before Nadia and dropkicks Nadia back down to the floor. Alena runs into the ropes and comes towards Nadia, Nadia stands up, but before she can get ready, Alena flips up into the air and does a roundhouse kick to Nadia's face, knocking her to the ground in a daze. Alena comes down to strike again, but Nadia rolls out of the way of Alena's foot to her knee.) Colburn: How can they be so fast after all this exertion? Nadia has managed to get to the other side of the ring, but Alena is quick to pursue. Alena punches Nadia in the gut and then to the face, again and again, and no, wait! McBride: Yes, Nadia has blocked the last punch and Alena tries to kick her in the face, but Nadia drops down to the ground and flips her legs up to wrap around Alena's neck. No wait! It's some sort of sleeper I think... Colburn: It's Nadia's own special sleeper, and Alena is struggling to intake air with all of her heavy breathing. McBride: Something about women breathing heavily that I like. Colburn: You know, sometimes you sound like an idiot? McBride: Yeah, well at least I am sometimes, not always. Colburn: (ignoring last remark) You know, I'm surprised that Alena is fighting so well with the sudden disappearance of her husband. McBride: Who knows? Maybe she's just getting rid of a lot of rage in this fight, and it shows, the sleeper still has yet to end, but Alena is still struggling! (Alena finally falls over into the turnbuckle, bending Nadia the wrong way, forcing her to release. Alena flips up and does a handstand on the turnbuckle, then flips off and lands on Nadia in an elbow drop. Nadia is scathed and bleeding from her lip, but still all right. Nadia jumps back and then runs towards Alena to attack.) Colburn: Wow, what a melee, I can't believe how fast it is, I can barely see the enterrage of flailing feet and fisticuffs! McBride: That was a lot of big words. Colburn: Yeah, well I was saving that line for this. (Alena and Nadia are both kicking, punching, and blocking, nothing is breaking through, however they are both quickly getting tired. Finally, Alena drops and does a sweep, knocking a surprised Nadia to the ground. Alena drops to the floor for a rather pathetic pin of half a second. They both clear and get up, Nadia comes towards Alena, but she quickly spins around and drops her back into Nadia, sitting into her knee and elbowing Nadia in the face.) McBride: Yikes, but Nadia has recovered quickly and has punched Alena into the corner. Alena looks out of it now, much too tired from what's been happening, Nadia picks her up onto the turnbuckle. Colburn: Probably going to try her Eat Floor maneuver. No wait, Alena has come around during her maneuver and has managed to land on her hands, grab Nadia by the head with her legs and flip her onto the mat. Ouch, that must be the last move! McBride: No! I can't believe it, how much more can each of them take? Nadia has gotten back up and has managed to get up quickly to surprise Alena with a sudden piledriver! That must be the fastest one I've ever seen! Colburn: That's the only one you've ever seen. McBride: ha ha. (Alena has rolled away and spinkicked Nadia in the face from the floor with both legs, bending over her back to do it from the ground. Nadia has been knocked back but has managed to get up, but not before she sees Alena running towards her and jumping into her neck with her legs open to put her in a vice.) McBride: Ow! What's this, with the remaining momentum Alena has twisted Nadia around into the ropes, that must be her Ultimate Neck Grip! Colburn: Glad that you finally caught a move by yourself. Yes, Alena now has Nadia in a painful submission move with her own kind of sleeper. (Alena's legs are still around Nadia's neck, folded so that Alena can sit on her back and put her arms around to tie Nadia's own arms. Nadia struggles, but is far too tired from the rest of the match to continue long.) McBride: How can she still be struggling after that move? Colburn: She's definitely a very worthy opponent. Alena has moved off her to make a pin. 1...2...3! That was three counts and there's the bell making the match over. Wait, what's this? Alena is helping Nadia off the ground and smiling and laughing with Nadia? What the heck, why can't these girls take this fed a little more seriously? McBride: I think they'll always remain this way, but at least they won't try to kill eachother in some sort of major revenge match. Colburn: No, they would, it would just still be for fun. Weird, these two. And there's the belt, given to Alena Carmine for the Woman's title, although with only two women, that belt won't be moving very far in this fed, let's hope we get some more in the HDW! McBride: ...Yeah (sigh). Colburn: Are you staring at them, again! McBride: ...hmmm...what? Colburn: Forget it, you're hopeless.
