Wednesday, May 3rd 2000: Death From Above (Pay per View) Card #1 - Match #4 Mad Rapper vs. Monoxide Child Authour: Jeff Davidson (Grim Reaper) [Assistant CEO] Match: Hardcore match. Rules: Standard Hardcore. Titles: US Title. Announcers: James Colburn, Iaian McBride. _______________________________________________________________________ Colburn: Well, this match should be interesting. A hardcore match for the US title. Both the contenders seem fairly equal in skill. McBride: Yeah, kind of odd though having a hardcore match for the US title. As I understand it, the two contenders didn't even want a title. But the execs of the HDW have assigned the US title to this match. I'm sure the contenders aren't complaining. Colburn: I would imagine not. It seems we're ready to get started, the ring announcer is about to bring them out. (The Havoc Viewscreen flickers on and Gothic appears on the screen.) Gothic: Alright, we have two equally...annoying contenders for the US title. They are: the Canadian carver, Monoxide Child! ("Blink" by Twiztid starts playing and the lights go out. Flashes of light periodically light up the arena and smoke starts pouring out from everywhere. Monoxide Child emerges from the stage, seemingly out of the smoke. He throws his arms up and the crowd cheers. He smiles and then proceeds to the ring. He bounces off the ropes a couple times and then waits in a corner of the ring.) McBride: This guy kinda creeps me out. They say he can be the nicest person one second, a sadistic sociopath the next. Colburn: Hey, he's not the only one that can creep you out. We got a lot of creepy guys in this fed. Apocalypse is probably the creepiest if you ask me, I've seen the pictures of him without his mask and nearly pissed myself. McBride: That's nice of you to admit in front of millions of viewers. Colburn: ......ah shut up. Gothic: Alright. Now we have a man who is 6'4", 236 pounds of pure rapping...ugh...torture. The Mad Rapper! (The crowd cheers loudly as The Mad Rapper walks out from the back. He has a mic in his hands and he raises it and begins to rap his themesong "The Mad Rapper Cometh". He does this at the same time he is walking down the ramp. He finishes his rap and then jumps into the ring, throwing the mic to one of the audience members. The Viewscreen flickers and shuts off) McBride: Hey, that was kinda catchy. Colburn: Are you kidding? That was bad. Really bad. McBride: Well, apparently MC agrees with you cause he just lunged at the Mad Rapper. The bell rings and we are underway. Mad Rapper dodges the lunging MC and gives him a solid toe kick to the side. MC just turns around and gives Mad Rapper a left hook. Colburn: Mad Rapper and MC exchanging punches to the face now. MC wins out and knocks Rapper down with a haymaker. McBride: That was a pretty good punch. Rapper now on the ground, holding his nose. MC leaves the ring and it looks like he's heading for the goodies under the ring. Colburn: Goodies? Well, he reaches in and pulls out a table with some junk on it. He picks up what looks like a cookie sheet off the table and climbs back in. McBride: Rapper is back up now and MC runs at him. Rapper gives him a drop toe hold and MC's face lands right on that cookie sheet. Ouch, that has to sting. Colburn: Rapper now going for the weapons as MC is rolling around holding his nose. Rapper grabs a cookie sheet for himself and rolls back in. McBride: MC is sitting up now, his nose seems a little redder than it should be. He looks up just in time to see Rapper smack the cookie sheet across his face. Colburn: Ooooo, MC is down on the mat again. But he ain't rolling this time. Rapper goes for a cover...1...2, MC kicks out before the 3." McBride: Rapper picks up MC and gets him into a powerbomb position. He must be going for the Head Liner, but wait, MC reversed it. Rapper picked him up and MC grabbed Rapper into a hurricanrana. Colburn: Wow! That move was awesome! MC and Rapper down now. MC stirs a bit, then gets up. Rapper beginning to stir as well. MC picks him up and whips him to the turnbuckle. MC puts Rapper onto the turnbuckle and climbs up in front of him. McBride: Wait, Rapper punches MC in the gut. He punches him again and then stands up. He grabs MC and, good God! He just gave MC a back drop off the turnbuckle onto the floor. Colburn: Holy smokes! Both men are down and in pain. Rapper fights it back and picks up MC. He's bringing him to our table and smashes his face into it. MC is still dazed from that back drop and Rapper helps him up again. This time he goes for the Head Liner and he hits it. He covers 1.....2... what!? MC kicked out!!" McBride: I can't believe he kicked out after all that punishment. Rapper seems stupified. But the moment passes and he picks up MC yet again and places him on the Spanish announcers table. It seems that kick out was all the energy MC had left, he isn't moving. Colburn: Rapper goes and grabs a chair and gets into the ring. What's he doing? He climbs the turnbuckle and WHOA!! He just did a 450 splash onto MC, through the spanish announcers table, with the chair in front of him!! McBride: That has to be it. Rapper is in pain but manages to cover MC...1. ..2...3. That's all she wrote. Rapper wins, but both men need medical attention. Colburn: Man. Rapper did more damage to himself than MC did. The medics come out and both men are carried away on stretchers. Let's hope they're okay.
