Monday, July 24th 2000: Monday Night Mutilation Card #14 - Match #2 Alena Carmine Vs. Crimson Author: Jeff Davidson [Vice President] Match: Floating Platform Match Rules: Standard, must be knocked off three times to lose. Titles: None. Commentators: Iaian McBride, James Colburn ____________________________________________________________________ Colburn: Okay, let's see...ah, Crimson and Alena are next. McBride: Really? Alright, time to see some good old fashioned watersports...I wonder if they'll wear swimsuits? Colburn: Of course not! This is going to be a very physical match you know! McBride: How do you figure? Colburn: Hello, slippery wooden platforms floating unsteadily on a large pool. These ladies are going to be fighting to keep their balance more than each other. McBride: Hmm...I think you're wrong. Don't you remember some of the stunts these ladies have been pulling? Like that teacup match between Nadia and Alena, there were moves in there that not even science could explain. And I'm sure Crimson is no clumsy slob, she does know Muay Thai for crying out loud. Colburn: How do you know that? Did you ask her? McBride: No, I peeked at her application and it mentioned she was trained in Muay Thai. I'm familiar with the ideas of Muay Thai and I think we're in for one fast paced match. Colburn: ...Smartass. McBride: Hehehe. (The Havoc viewscreen flickers on and we see Gothic.) Gothic: (clears throat) Okay, our next match is going to feature Alena Carmine taking on the new girl, Crimson, in a Floating Platform, Three Dunks You're Out match. Colburn: Who came up with that silly title? Gothic: Me. Colburn: Oh, umm, good title. (Gothic gives Colburn an evil eye and Colburn hides under the table.) Gothic: Anyway...before we get started, we need the pool. I would suggest everyone in the front five rows evacuate their seats a.s.a.p. (The crowd just looks confused. Suddenly, a lot of chains come down around the ring. Technicians attach the chains all around the edge of the ring and it is hoisted upwards. It is hoisted high into the rafters and then stops and dangles off of the chains. As the crowd nervously watches the ring dangle high above their heads, the cement where the ring used to be collapses downward, along with the cement up to row 6. The people sitting there fall with their chairs and land hard in a square pit. The announcers' table is left on it's own little cement pillar that connects to the edge of the pit.) Colburn: Eek. McBride: Eep. (The pit begins to fill with water which is supplied by small holes in the side of it. The people, who are still in their chairs even after the fall, begin swimming around in it waiting to be able to reach the edge and climb out. They succeed and climb out, soaked through, and the pit is now filled with water. The seats can still be seen under the water. Some technicians bring in four large wooden platforms and slide them into the pool.) Gothic: Sorry about the soaking but I did give you ample warning. Alright, first to come out will be our current Dominion Champion, Alena Carmine! (Alena walks out from the back wearing a red robe. "Falling Away From Me" by Korn begins playing just as the entire entrance goes red and starts pouring smoke and flames. She walks through them and her robe burns away quickly. She emerges with her jumpsuit. Two fountains on either side of the rampway start gushing out blood over her and she walks through the archway of flowing blood. She reaches the pool and leaps onto one of the wooden platforms. She dances around on it a bit to get the feel of it and then waits.) Gothic: ...Interesting. The next wrestler out shall be Crimson, our newest wrestler. (The lights in the building dim as the guitar solo of "Temptation" by The Tea Party comes over the speakers. Red rose petals begin to fall from the ceiling. The guitar solo ends and the petals stop falling as the song goes to a more evil sound. Blood begins to rain down from the ceiling as the music gets louder and louder. As the song reaches it's climax, the rose petals around the pool and on the ramp burst into flames. Crimson appears on the stage holding a bouquet of red roses. She walks towards the pool, dropping a rose after every few steps. She hops onto a wooden platform of her own and three red flashes of light go off. A bright white flash follows closely after and when everything clears, the fallen roses and petals are gone. The pool is slightly stained with red and has quite a few rose petals in it. Crimson also dances around a bit on her platform to get the feel for it.) Gothic: Excellent. Have a good match ladies. (The Havoc Viewscreen flickers off.) Colburn: Those are probably the strangest entrances in the entire Havoc Dominion. McBride: I'd have to agree. The only one that really even comes close is Gothic's, and his is more scary than strange. Colburn: Okay, well at any rate, the bell has rung and we're underway. McBride: Alena wastes no time and tries for a jump kick on Crimson. Crimson manages to block it though and elbows Alena in the side as she flies by. (Alena spins with the hit and manages to land on another platform nearby. Her balance is not quite recovered and Crimson capitalizes by giving her a flying knee to the back. Alena falls face first onto the platform and Crimson backflips back to the other platform.) Colburn: Looks like Crimson is going with Guerilla tactics. McBride: hey, it's what I'd do. Colburn: No you wouldn't. You'd let them hit you and enjoy every minute of it. McBride: ...Alena's back up and she wastes no time in trying a flying axe kick on Crimson. Colburn: Hey! Don't change the subject! (The kick is blocked, but Alena places one hand on the platform and with the other hand, pulls Crimson's left ankle out from under her. Crimson falls onto the platform, and Alena flips herself back up. She goes to grab Crimson by the head but Crimson starts spinning her legs around and then sweeps a startled Alena down onto the platform. Crimson then flips herself up onto Alena and begins pummeling her.) McBride: Uh oh, this could be trouble. Colburn: Crimson has a major advantage now...wait! Alena's trying to grab her from behind with her legs! (Alena misses the first time, but connects the second time and locks her legs around Crimson's head. Crimson tries to break free, but Alena throws her backwards. Crimson uses the momentum to throw herself onto a nearby platform, and just barely makes it. Her leg gets a little dip in the water.) Colburn: Phew, that was close. McBride: Yeah, if Alena had put a little less power into that throw I think Crimson would have gone for a swim. Colburn: Most likely. Both wrestlers are back on their feet now ...Crimson looks a bit miffed. (Crimson takes the offensive now and leaps at Alena. She brings her fist down and Alena dodges sideways. Crimson follows through with the strike and splits the platform in half, then spins onto the half opposite Alena. Alena's platform wobbles unsteadily and she has to take the time to correct it. Crimson takes advantage and jump kicks Alena off the platform. Alena tries to reach another platform, but fails and disappears into the now completely red water [it turned red cause the churning caused the red liquid to mix with the water]. Crimson flips onto a more stable platform and looks for signs of Alena under the water.) McBride: Dude, you can't see a thing in that water...it's like blood. Colburn: Yeah...speaking of blood... McBride: Quiet you! I don't want to hear it! Colburn: ...Spoil sport. (About a minute passes by and still no Alena. Crimson begins to look nervous.) McBride: Hmmm... Colburn: Hmmm what? You know something I don't? McBride: ...Nothing, just thinking. Colburn: ...Alright...oh! Of course! (As Colburn realizes, so does Crimson. Crimson leaps onto another platform just in time to avoid her platform being flipped over by Alena from under the water. As Crimson lands, Alena climbs onto the platform she just flipped.) Alena: Damn, just missed her. (spits out a bit of water) Ick, what'd they put in this stuff? McBride: Wow, I'm surprised her mic still works after that little dip. Colburn: I'm surprised that Crimson figured that little maneuver out in time. Alena only missed her by a split second. McBride: Yeah, well, at any rate, Crimson is ahead by one dunk to none. Colburn: True enough. (snickers) Get a load of Alena's hair. (Alena turns to Colburn and gives him an evil look.) Alena: Hey, I heard that. Colburn: Iaian...did you turn on the two way? McBride: Who? Me? Why would I do that? (snickers) Colburn: ...Growl. McBride: Hey, that's Gothic's line. (Alena turns her attention back to Crimson just in time to dodge a jump kick directed at her face. As Crimson passes by, Alena grabs her by the head and gives her a falling neckbreaker. She then flips up and onto another platform as Crimson recovers. Crimson stands and Alena leaps at her. Crimson turns around in time to get cross body blocked by Alena, and they come down onto the platform with Alena on top. They grapple and start rolling around on the platform. The platform starts to rock back and forth from the shifting weight.) Colburn: Umm, if they keep that up that platform is gonna tip over and throw them both into the drink. McBride: S'okay, they're done rolling around and they both flip back onto their feet. That platform still looks a bit unsteady. Colburn: Looks like fisticuffs are coming up. (Crimson goes for a roundhouse, but Alena ducks under and delivers a solid punch to Crimson's stomach. Crimson leans forward from the blow and Alena gives her an elbow to the back of the head. Crimson goes down on one knee. Alena goes for a sideways kick to Crimson's head, but Crimson blocks it and gives Alena a rising headbutt to the chin. Alena staggers back and Crimson thrust kicks her in the stomach. Alena goes to her knees with the wind knocked out of her, and Crimson knees her in the head. Alena flops backward onto the platform, and Crimson goes for a falling axe kick across her torso. Alena counters by grabbing Crimson's leg and flipping her onto her stomach, then giving her an anklelock. Alena quickly stops the hold and then grabs both Crimson's legs and pushes her towards the edge of the platform.) Colburn: Time for a swim for Crimson. McBride: Yeah, looks that way...wait, Crimson has a hold of the edge of the platform and she's not letting go. Colburn: Alena can't seem to push her over, I guess Crimson must have a good grip. (Try as she might, Alena cannot push Crimson off the platform. Crimson has almost a death grip on the edge of the platform. After a while, Crimson tries to flip Alena into the water with her legs. She is unsuccessful, and gets pushed a little bit closer to the water. Out of nowhere, Crimson decides to grab onto Alena's arm with her legs. Before Alena can react, Crimson pulls her with her legs and they both fall into the red water.) Colburn: (laughing) Well, Alena got what she wanted. Crimson is in the water. McBride: I don't think a second swim was part of the plan though. Colburn: Oh, most likely not. Alena is now down by two dunks to one. (Both ladies pop out of the water and climb onto different platforms. They both take some time to fix their hair and exchange evil glares. Both of them have a few rose petals sticking to their bodies here and there. The hair fixing ends and Crimson takes the initiative with a double front flip onto Alena's platform. Crimson thrusts her foot down as she lands and causes the platform to start rocking. Alena is thrown slightly forward, right into a palm strike from Crimson. Crimson keeps rocking the platform. For a second time, Alena is sent slightly forward, but this time she gives Crimson a rather sloppy sliding uppercut. The platform settles down and Alena follows up with a leg sweep. Crimson flips over it, and then goes for a diving double knuckle fist on Alena's head. Alena rolls out of the way and Crimson strikes the platform. It doesn't break this time and Alena kicks Crimson in the side. Crimson rolls with it and then flips to another platform.) McBride: Back to the drawing board I guess. Colburn: I suppose so. Hey, what's Crimson up to? (Crimson seems to be preparing for something. Alena seems to know what is going on and readies herself. Crimson explodes off of her platform and lands directly in front of Alena. She begins throwing lightning fast punches and kicks which Alena has trouble blocking. Crimson's hands are moving so fast they look like a red blur, Alena's are nearly as fast. Finally, one of Crimson's punches lands and upsets Alena's blocking rhythm. Crimson begins to unwail on Alena with the same speed as before, only this time about 90% of her punches and kicks are connecting. Alena begins to lose her form completely and now all of Crimson's attacks are connecting. Alena now has a few cuts on her face and her lip is bleeding profusely. Crimson's attacks begin to slow down as she appears to be tiring.) Colburn: Holy sh*t! McBride: Dude! Could you see her hands!? Colburn: No friggin' way! All I could see was red blurs smacking into Alena! McBride: Same here! That attack appears to be taking it's toll on both wrestlers. Crimson is slowing quickly and Alena doesn't even look conscious anymore! (Crimson finally stops punching and kicking and flops onto the platform. Alena falls drowsily onto the platform, face first, directly in front of Crimson. Crimson manages to summon up a little bit of reserve and begins to slowly push Alena to the water. She makes slow progress, but finally manages to roll Alena into the water. The bell rings.) Colburn: Wow, that match was pretty damn cool! McBride: I'll say. Although it would've been cooler if they had worn swimsuits. Colburn: Iaian! McBride: What!? Colburn: ...Ah forget it. What's Crimson doing now? (Alena's body floats up from under the water, face down. Crimson pulls her up onto the platform and then flips her over. She pushes on Alena's chest a bit and Alena coughs up some water. Alena is conscious for only a second and then slips back to sleep. Crimson appears to be completely spent and she flops back onto the platform. A few seconds pass, and then Crimson nods off.) McBride: Oookay. Both our wrestlers are now sleeping on the pool. Colburn: Nappy time I suppose. McBride: Heh. Maybe we'll just let them sleep eh? Colburn: Yeah. I wouldn't want to be the one that wakes them up anyway. They might be cranky when they wake up. McBride: (snickers) Wimp.
